• Drama in Georgia: Mayor fires entire police department for criticizing his wife (apbweb.com) — Cohutta’s entire police department was briefly dissolved after officers complained about the mayor’s wife, who had been fired as town clerk but allegedly retained access to sensitive systems. The Town Council quickly intervened, reinstating officers with back pay and limiting the mayor’s authority over the department. Within two weeks, the mayor resigned, citing family health concerns.
