1. Knox County Sheriff's Office seeks missing woman who did not return home (wate.com) — Knox County deputies are asking for your help finding 36-year-old Maleaya Taboaba, who left the Halls Community Park ball fields around 9:30 p.m. Monday but never made it home. She may be driving a silver 2013 Nissan Rogue with Tennessee plate 654BSHZ. If you see her or the SUV, officers say to check on her welfare and immediately call the Knox County Sheriff's Office records division.
   

2. Knox County Commission May Vote to Remove All Flock Cameras (wivk.com) — Knox County commissioners are weighing an emergency ordinance on Aug. 31 that could force removal of all 140 Flock license plate cameras now used by the sheriff's office across the Knoxville area. The move follows revelations about how the program was expanded with little commission oversight and questions from Mayor Glenn Jacobs about whether the contract is even valid. A new sheriff could later rebuild a camera program under tighter rules.
   

3. How fear of controversy is reshaping Nashville's classroom discussions (tennessean.com subscription) — Knoxville educators are turning to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Institute of American Civics for help navigating free-speech questions in increasingly tense classrooms. A growing TN Civics Academy, once held only in Knoxville and now expanded statewide, is training K-12 teachers on First Amendment rights and how to handle controversial topics while modeling civil discourse for students.
   

4. Tennessee football parking and traffic flow changes to know for Neyland Stadium (knoxnews.com) — If you're heading to Neyland Stadium this season, expect new traffic patterns and parking routes on and around the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Designated pass holders have lot-specific routes on utsports.com, while others are urged to park downtown and use Knoxville Area Transit shuttles from Market Square or the Civic Coliseum to avoid campus congestion.
   

5. This colorful coffee shop in North Knoxville is closing next week (knoxnews.com) — Partial Cafe, a specialty coffee shop on North Broadway in Knoxville's Fourth & Gill neighborhood, will pour its last cups on Aug. 31 after three years in business. The colorful spot helped anchor a growing North Knoxville coffee hub and was known for encouraging customers to explore new roasters and styles. Another shop, Intrepid Nitro's Bearden location, has also recently closed.
