A witness said a group of people were inside the shoe store when three people entered the back door and began shooting, according to police. Myles Owen, 22, one of the people inside the store, was able to wrestle a gun from the trio and fire back at them. It is believed that Evans, along with Ricky Starks, 18, and Dwight Mason Jr., 18 — who were injured — were the intruders.
