Ladder to success: John 3:16 Outreach one step closer to opening resource center (thedailytimes.com) ā A longtime commercial building on Jefferson Avenue in Maryville is being transformed into a community resource center for people experiencing homelessness, with fresh paint just completed by 70 volunteers. The John 3:16 Outreach Ministry site will eventually offer showers, laundry, lockers, mail service, and meeting space, and recent help from local partners is speeding up renovations even though an opening date isnāt set yet.

New medical office building going in near Royal Oaks subdivision (thedailytimes.com) ā Maryville City Council has approved rezoning 16 acres of former Royal Oaks Golf Course land for a large Prisma Health medical office campus, despite nearby residentsā concerns about traffic and privacy. The project includes a new connector road, traffic signal, and up to 575 parking spaces, with construction expected to last 18ā24 months alongside several other city infrastructure and zoning decisions.

Maryville's Sawyer Robinette signs with Alabama Huntsville track (thedailytimes.com) ā Maryville High School pole vaulter Sawyer Robinette has signed to compete for the University of Alabama Huntsville while pursuing aerospace engineering. The All-State athlete helped Maryville win a sectional title and will return to the TSSAA state meet next week, continuing a journey that began climbing Shields Stadium and local climbing gyms.

Keep Tennessee Beautiful Awards 2026 Scholarships to Nine Graduating Seniors (wasteadvantagemag.com) ā A Maryville student, Katherine Wallace, has been named one of nine Tennessee seniors to receive a $1,250 Keep Tennessee Beautiful scholarship recognizing environmental commitment. The program honors students from all three Grand Divisions and is funded through book sales and cleanup sponsorships, supporting future studies in sustainability and community improvement.
