• Judge Rules Kenneth DeHart Trial Will Stay in Blount County, Jury to Be Selected from Sumner County (wivk.com) — A judge has ruled that the capital murder trial of Kenneth DeHart, accused in the 2024 killing of Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan, will be held in Maryville with jurors brought in from Sumner County. Jurors will be sequestered, shielded from memorials and media, and enter the courthouse through secure routes as attorneys now work with the court to set trial dates.
