• Sierra Club Condemns Trump-Appointed TVA Approval of Massive Illinois Coal Mining Expansion (rocketnews.com) — Environmental advocates recently traveled to Memphis to urge the TVA board to delay divesting mineral rights tied to a major Illinois coal mine, warning of safety and pollution risks. Despite their push, TVA approved the move, which could extend mining for decades. Groups including the Sierra Club and Prairie Rivers Network say the decision undercuts worker protections and clean-energy goals while legal challenges continue.
