• New resolution over funding for MSCS lawsuit (wreg.com) — Memphis readers should know the Shelby County Commission just capped how much can be spent on the Memphis-Shelby County Schools state-takeover lawsuit before officials must report back. Once legal costs hit $200,000, commissioners will need to publicly justify any additional taxpayer funding, aiming to boost transparency and accountability around the high-stakes school fight.
   

• MSCS to provide free lunches at closed schools Tuesday (wreg.com) — Families in Memphis should know that Memphis-Shelby County Schools are serving free lunches Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at multiple closed school campuses after severe storms and power outages. Only students registered at each listed school can receive meals and snack packs, which are first-come, first-served while supplies last.
