Wolf River Bridge repairs start Tuesday, blocking roads (wreg.com) — Drivers in the Memphis area should prepare for a long-term closure of the Wolf River Bridge on Collierville-Arlington Road starting Tuesday, forcing detours for more than a year. TDOT accelerated the $16.8 million project after frequent inspections raised safety concerns, with traffic expected to resume by October next year and full repairs finishing in spring 2028.

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Group of suspects fire at a home on Labor Day, wounding 2 sleeping teens (actionnews5.com subscription) — Two teenagers were wounded by gunfire while sleeping in their bedrooms in a Memphis home on Keystone Drive early Labor Day morning, and police say the investigation is ongoing. Security video shows multiple gunmen firing at the house, leaving at least 20 bullet holes and badly damaging the boys' rooms. The family now plans to move from what they considered a peaceful neighborhood.

Today, I celebrate 64 years. I celebrate the journey, the victories, the valleys, the trials, and the lessons that became my wisdom. I will not… (Nextdoor Green Meadows/Poplar Glen) - Since I received very helpful responses to my initial post regarding a cat that's shown up at my door, I was hoping someone could shed some light on this guy.
