1. New I-55 Bridge Plan Spares More of Crump Park (memphisflyer.com) — Plans for the new I-55 bridge between Memphis and Arkansas have been tweaked to spare more of E.H. Crump Park, reducing the land taken from about half the park to less than a third. The $954 million Kings' Crossing project will replace the aging Memphis-Arkansas Bridge, alter local monuments and walking connections, and is slated to start construction in 2026.
   

2. John Doyle leaving Rock 'n' Soul Museum, Memphis Music Hall of Fame (commercialappeal.com) — Leadership at two major Memphis music institutions is shifting as longtime executive director John Doyle steps down later this month, after 23 years shaping Rock 'n' Soul Museum and the Memphis Music Hall of Fame. Interim leader Cynthia Ham will continue fundraising and planning to move both attractions into the former Lansky Brothers building on Beale Street, envisioned as a major downtown music, shopping, and education hub.
   

3. Autopsy report shows suicidal man was shot and killed by Memphis Safe Task Force (actionnews5.com) — An autopsy has confirmed that Memphis resident Jonah Neal, who was in a mental health crisis when his mother called police in May, died from a gunshot wound to the neck fired by a Memphis Safe Task Force agent. The report also notes self-inflicted knife wounds and a high blood alcohol level, while the family's attorney questions officers' training and calls for more transparency in task force shootings.
   

4. Daily Jigsaw: A street fit for a King (dailymemphian.com) — Memphis has officially dedicated an honorary Jerry "The King" Lawler Street, renaming a portion of Homer Street between Given and Rhea avenues to celebrate the wrestling legend. The unveiling featured Treadwell Middle School performers, a full wrestling ring backdrop, and recognition from Memphis City Council members, plus an accompanying online jigsaw puzzle for fans.
   

5.
