Bow a fiddle, pluck a banjo, and strum a ukulele! The Musical Instrument Petting Zoo offers budding musicians a chance to try new and familiar instruments. Instructors will offer guidance as you try your hand at all the instruments at the zoo. All ages. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Free to Museum members.

Join us inside Yolan’s kitchen for a hands-on exploration of spizzulus, a rare Sardinian pasta shape rooted in the island’s culinary heritage. Guided by Chef de Cuisine Liam Byres, guests will prepare fresh pasta dough and learn the technique behind shaping this historic pasta. Each participant will make their own spizzulus to take home, while enjoying a summer pesto and anchovy preparation. Following the class, guests will enjoy a three-course lunch featuring salad, house-prepared spizzulus, dessert, and curated wine pairings.

The Iron Maidens Heavy Metal Formed in 2001, The Iron Maidens have quickly established themselves as one of southern California’s most popular tribute acts and are rapidly gaining international recognition. The band boasts beauty as well as excellent musicianship, lively stage presence, and a remarkable stage show with theatrical scenes interspersed throughout.
First and foremost on the agenda of The Iron Maidens is talent. These women are highly trained professionals with diversified musical backgrounds ranging from orchestral and musical theater to blues and rock. The band and its members have been the recipients of many awards including best tribute band, and best in category (guitar, bass, drums, voice) at events such as The Rock City News Awards, The LA Music Awards, and The All Access Magazine Award Show to name a few. The line-up is Kirsten “Bruce Chickinson” Rosenberg on vocals, Linda “Nikki McBURRain” McDonald on drums, and Nikki “Davina Murray” Stringfield on guitars, and Wanda “Steph Harris” Ortiz on bass.

Sing, dance, and play as a family at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum the second Saturday of each month. Designed for families with children 5 years old and younger, Fam Jam is a participatory music-making experience, led by Museum educators and a guest artist, that introduces young children to country music instruments and encourages child development through moving, singing, and listening. This session will spotlight the mandolin and feature Amberly Rosen, who enjoys bridging the gaps between classical, free improv, country, and folk music on violin, fiddle, mandolin, and guitar. She has performed with a diverse group of artists, including Gloria Estefan, the Rosen Sisters, and Paul Simon in venues such as the Grand Ole Opry and on The Late Show with David Letterman. Family music-making promotes language acquisition and the development of cognitive, social, and motor skills—and it’s fun! Ages 0–5. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission.
