When a child has confidence in their ability to try a new task, they are more likely to try more and develop their skill, strengthen their character and yearn to learn and do more.

To listen to what a child has to say is so important. Their desires may not match yours. Therefore, find theirs, allow them to develop their skills, use their talents and support their peers. Not only will this help to build strong friendships, it will support their confidence which will also help build leadership skills. It's important that we allow our children to find who they are, don't shut them out or shut them down. Their voices should be heard! When we stop to listen to our children, we will hear what they have to say and it is something that means a lot to them, so hear them.
