Mindful Monday on Opportunities

The above picture is from an opportunity I had to assist an art teacher in an after school program. I read our book, "Tune Into Good Character" to the students as we waited for the next activity to begin. From this opportunity I was approached to teach after school art to the elementary students the following year!

One never knows when opportunities come around, it's important to be prepared, be brave and walk through the open door when they do arrive. YOU have the opportunity to support our project for the communities in Metropolitan Nashville to teach children, youth and the community about vital core values, especially self-esteem and confidence building. Characters of Character has partnered with PENCIL to donate 500 of our Mindfulness Confidence Building activity boxes for students to engage in conversations, activities and to build their communication skills through our characters. By providing a child with tools to build a firm foundation of good character supports their growth journey in making better choices, encouraging feelings of acceptance and helps develop critical coping skills which empowers a child to a successful path in life.
