Man arrested after allegedly dragging officer during Nashville pursuit (wsmv.com) — A police helicopter helped Metro officers track a 20-year-old suspect across several Nashville corridors Saturday night after he allegedly dragged an officer while fleeing in a stolen vehicle. The chase wound through Nolensville Pike, Moorewood Drive, and East Trinity Lane before the man was arrested, and officers say they recovered a stolen gun, burglary tools, and drug paraphernalia.
   

2. South Nashville school gets new turf field after PTA raises $70k in fundraising efforts (newschannel5.com) — Shayne Elementary families in South Nashville just turned a dusty, rock-filled play area into a brand-new turf field after raising about $70,000 through a parent-led campaign. Parents, students, and local businesses all pitched in over two years, giving kids a safer, more comfortable place to play and showing how Nashville neighbors can transform a school when public funding falls short.
   

3. Nashville crews recovering body from Percy Priest Lake (tennessean.com subscription) — Nashville emergency crews are working at Percy Priest Lake to recover a body located by a Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency remote-operated vehicle after a person went underwater near the Anderson Road area and did not resurface. Multiple Nashville agencies, along with La Vergne Fire Rescue, have been involved since Friday night, though the person's identity and further details have not yet been released.
   

4. Driver facing charges after fatal 5-vehicle chain-reaction crash on I-24 West, THP says (wsmv.com) — A multi-vehicle chain-reaction crash on I-24 West near mile marker 60 in Davidson County left one driver dead and several others injured late Thursday night. Tennessee Highway Patrol says a semi-truck rear-ended a slowing vehicle amid congestion from an earlier wreck, triggering impacts to three more cars, and charges against the truck driver are pending the investigation's outcome.
   

5. 'Good Jobs Nashville' launches to help TN access higher quality jobs (statenews.net) — A new initiative called Good Jobs Nashville launches today, aiming to connect local workers with better-paying jobs and encourage employers to move closer to a living wage of about $22 an hour. Backed by Stand Up Nashville, the program builds on efforts tied to the city's MLS expansion and living wage certification, and kicks off with a 6 p.m. event at Anzie Blue.
