As the summer approaches quickly, kids are graduating and classes ending. Behavior Bear wanted to share a favorite recipe with you! Tweek it as you see fit, but Behavior Bear shares the basics!
Always make sure that the rules are clear. When your children are at home or elsewhere there are rules to be followed. When the rules are made clear a child will be able to follow them better and understand what is expected of them.
Make time to listen to your children. While you may think that their excitement or disappointments are silly, they are very important to them and they need to be heard. This also builds trust between you and your children as you listen to what they have to say, and not to mention that they will have a clearer understanding of the importance of listening.
While keeping a child focused is not always if ever easy, it is important. When a child is focused on the speaker, the project or the task it not only keeps them safe, it helps them to again understand the process while learning.
