Support us Supporting Dolly Parton's Children's Hospital

Our organization, Characters of Character NFP was established in 2007 after Joni piloted the characters in the elementary school which she worked on the Reading Team. They won a National Promising Practice Award and the rest is history.
Joni took a leave of absence from the school to form a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization whose mission is to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values. Since this time, over 30 books have been published, over 5,000 Superhero Character building activity boxes have been donated and thousands of lives have been impacted and engaged with these character messages, lessons and activities.
Finding the value, the need and the appreciation of the Superhero boxes, Characters of Character began donating them to Children's Hospitals. The Nashville Predators were the first to donate which brought us to relocate here in Tennessee. It is home now and we are happy! We are registered in Tennessee and remain registered in Illinois, however, this month we are focusing on Dolly Parton's Children's Hospital in Knoxville. We've had the opportunities to donate to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, but, not to Dolly. Please help us get these boxes into the hands of our children in the hospitals. They take away fear, build hope and engage beautiful conversations and activities while a child is healing.

Join us in honoring Dolly Parton with our Superhero character building activity boxes to the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital.DPCH was formally known as ETCH or East Tennessee Children's Hospital & they are one of the most appreciative locations we've been fortunate enough to donate our resources to.
Our goal is to donate 40 superhero character building activity boxes & we will be putting all of our donations received in September towards this project (including our social media challenge donations!) so we're hoping we can exceed the goal of 40 boxes. No donation is too small & we look forward to sharing more about our boxes.

Miss Joni is still out of commission from being in front of the camera with her recovering from a severe case of poison ivy & now a torn ACL, but she promised she's going to do some overdubbing on videos so you'll hear her voice soon
Thank you for your support & helping us make this world better, together
