Let's reinforce Good Behavior with Miss Joni and Behavior Bear!

Talking about and teaching our children what it means to have good behavior doesn't have to be difficult. As a parent myself, sometimes I think we 'think' too much. One thing I've learned is that children are listening to you, your conversations and your reactions. This is true whether we think so or not, so, how do we address this? First, remember that you are a role model for your children, their peers and the community. Then, listen to what others have to say, think before you respond so it's not hasty, after all, once you say those words they can not be unsaid. Next, talk to your children what it means to have good behavior. Make a chart if you need to, have visuals as reminders if you need to, but be clear on what you expect from your child as far as good behavior goes.
