In-bound roadways between The Hermitage and the Municipal Auditorium downtown will be closed at some point between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and also reopened once the motorcade clears. Metro Police do not expect to close outbound — that is, eastbound — thoroughfares during the president's transit from The Hermitage to downtown.
Downtown, Fifth Avenue from Charlotte Avenue to James Robertson Parkway will close at noon, as will Gay Street between James Robertson Parkway and Fifth Avenue. James Robertson Parkway from Third to Fifth avenues will close at approximately 3 p.m., unless crowd numbers require earlier closure.

Once the motorcade begins its transit from The Hermitage to Municipal, James Robertson will close between Interstate Drive east of the river and Rosa L. Parks Boulevard. That closure will remain in effect until the end of the rally.
The Music City Central bus station will close at 9:45 a.m., and bus service will originate from Sixth Avenue between Korean Veterans Boulevard and Demonbreun.
Bus bays will be grouped in threes and marked with signs along Sixth Avenue.
Buses that normally depart from the upper level at MCC will pick up and drop off passengers on Sixth Avenue northbound facing Demonbreun Street:
- A (Bays 1-3)
- B (Bays 4-6)
- C (Bays 7-9)
- D (Bays 10-12)
- E (Bays 13-15)
- F (Bays 16-18)
- G (Bays 19-21)
- H (Bays 22-24)
Music City Circuit service will be subject to change due to rolling road closures, police activity, and potential sidewalk and street crowding concerns.
Due to concerns about the traffic impact of President Trump’s visit to Nashville and The Hermitage, the 3:20 p.m. trip to Nashville of the Music City Star has been cancelled.
Heavy congestion and detours on downtown streets will likely result in delayed buses bringing train passengers to Riverfront Station, nevertheless, the goal is to have all trains depart on time, so riders are asked to plan ahead.
The entire MCC structure will be closed, including the parking lot, the Dunkin' Donuts and the Music City Market. Those who need to buy tickets and passes should do so before Wednesday.
