WATCH: Nashville Predators' P.K. Subban's Christmas Surprise
Nashville Predators defenseman takes kids on a Christmas sleigh ride with lots of surprises.

NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban is well-known throughout the hockey world for his charitable efforts, each with a unique spin. Subban — with a personality as prodigious as his puck skills — essentially adopted Montreal's Children Hospital during his time playing for the Canadiens and is now bringing those efforts to his new home in Nashville.
First, Subban had the kids in Canada write letters to children in Nashville, setting up cross-border pen pals. Then, Subban arrived at the Vanderbilt-Meharry Center for Sickle Cell Disease in a horse-drawn carriage — and, as is his wont, nattily dressed in an outfit befitting a hansom cab driver — surprised a group of kids with a ride through downtown Nashville.
As they rode, one child said to Subban "So, Nashville is, like, our home."

"And it's my home now, too," Subban answered.
After a trip through the city, the group arrived at Bridgestone Arena, where the defenseman said the kids could pick out anything they wanted from the team store. He was joined by fellow blueliner Roman Josi, who gave the kids a hand in picking out their prizes. The kids then read the letters from their Canadian counterparts and, finally, were surprised with a concert by country superstar (and Predators fan) Dierks Bentley.
