• Search underway for three eagles that escaped storm-damaged enclosure at Dollywood (9news.com) — Dollywood crews in Pigeon Forge are searching for three eagles that flew off after a storm-damaged tree compromised the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary aviary. One distressed bird is recovering, while others were moved to the American Eagle Foundation in Kodak. “Wings of America” shows are canceled and the aviary area remains closed while repairs continue.
   

• Arrests April 22 (themountainpress.com) — A recent Sevier County Jail intake report lists several new arrests, including one person identified as being from Pigeon Forge and charged with a probation violation. Others from nearby Sevierville, Kodak, Seymour, and Kentucky face charges ranging from DUI to aggravated assault, with some released and others still being held.
