Join Smyrna author Shalanda Thompson for a free community celebration marking the release of her memoir, Around the River Bend: A Memoir of Love While Locked Up.
Guests will have an opportunity to meet the author, hear the story behind the memoir during an author interview and Q&A, purchase signed copies, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and music, take photos and celebrate this exciting milestone.
Around the River Bend explores love, resilience, sacrifice and second chances while shining a light on the often-overlooked impact incarceration can have on families and loved ones outside the prison walls.
Admission is FREE, but space is limited. Registration is requested by October 23.
