• Wartburg baseball season ends in region tournament (themountainpress.com) — Wartburg Central High School’s baseball season wrapped up in the region tournament, with the Bulldogs falling to Coalfield and then Greenback despite a late rally. Wartburg had earlier beaten Greenback 7–1 in the semifinals, and senior players Evan Crouch and Ian Graber finished their high school careers in Saturday’s hard-fought loss.
