• Buda City Council workshops fishing pier opportunities, deliberates city-owned camera policy (haysfreepress.com) — Buda residents may soon see easier access to local ponds like Heep Run and Garlic Creek, as council members explore low-cost ways to improve fishing access without compromising flood-control functions. At the same meeting, council tabled a new policy governing city-owned security cameras to get more details on vendor data protections, and approved several ordinances affecting permits, a public improvement district, and council district boundaries. 
• Buda police seek public's help identifying suspects in aggravated robbery (haysfreepress.com) — Buda police are asking residents for help identifying three female suspects still at large after an aggravated robbery at an apartment on Cabela's Drive on August 31. One Buda man has already been arrested, and warrants are issued for two others; anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Valdez or submit an anonymous tip to Hays County Crime Stoppers.
• Buda native launches word game, announces update (haysfreepress.com) — A Buda-raised game developer has launched a new multiplayer word game called Clockwork and is already rolling out a major update with social features and customizable avatars. Jason Patterson, a Hays High School graduate, hopes the game's success will eventually let him open a storefront in Buda, while continuing to turn his original stories into future games.
