Dog That Attacked Leander Woman To Be Euthanized

Court orders that English bulldog mix that nearly severed a 59-year-old woman's hand last month be put to sleep on Wednesday.

LEANDER, TX — The dog that nearly severed a Leanders's hand in an attack last month will be euthanized, according to a published report.

Citing a court order issued on Tuesday, the Austin American-Statesman reported the two-year-old English bulldog mix named "Link" belonging to a neighbor of the 59-year-old victim pulled her off her home's porch on March 30, seriously injuring her right arm.

The incident occurred along the 200 block of Lauren Loop after the victim fund her neighbor's three dogs, including the English bulldog, in her backyard, police said previously. The attack happened as she called for her neighbor who owns the dogs, Nathan Yanchak, to remove them from her property.
