Pearland Man Appears In Federal Court On Prostitution Charges
Dihlon Lee Davis is accused of forcing six Manvel High School girls into prostitution

ALVIN, TX -- A 20-year old Pearland man accused of forcing six Manvel High School girls into prostitution appeared in federal court on Monday.
Dihlon Lee Davis is charged with multiple counts of federal sex trafficking and faces the possibility of life in prison if he is convicted. (Sign up for Patch’s daily newsletter for your neighborhood.)
Davis is accused of using his 18-year old girlfriend, a student at Manvel High School, to recruit girls as prostitutes, with Davis acting as their pimp.

Authorities learned of the scheme after Davis' girlfriend and another girl she was trying to recruit, got into a fight at Manvel High School in March 2016.
The information was shared with investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety by the Alvin ISD Police, which ultimately led to Davis' arrest.

On Monday, Davis and his attorney appeared at a detention hearing to provide evidence that Davis was not a flight risk, and that he had turned himself into authorities.
The court has scheduled a second detention hearing for March 31.
Davis is being held in the Brazoria Countyh Jail without bond.
