Teens join with adults to help with rescue efforts, and post hurricane cleanup in hard-hit neighborhoods.

CONROE, TX — The remnants of Hurricane Harvey may have left the Conroe area, but rescue efforts are still a way of life in the Houston area, and north into Montgomery County.
In the last five days, first responders in Montgomery County have conducted more than 1,300 high water rescues, and housed 1,100 people fleeing from the relentless onslaught of Hurricane Harvey.
One of those who responded was Will Brady, 18, the son of Congressman Kevin Brady.

“I am pretty proud of him and all the others,” Brady said.
Meanwhile other young men and women, some just juniors and seniors at Tomball High School, showed up in the Timarron Subdivision in the Woodlands, which was among one of the hardest hit areas in Montgomery County, to pitch in and help with cleaning up flood damaged homes.
One of those was the home of Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack’s mother.
Noack, who has been understandably tied up with Hurricane Harvey, was touched to hear that these young men and women were pitching in to help with cleanup efforts.
“These young men represent everything that is promising in the next generation. These young men helped my family and for that I'm very grateful,” Noack said in a Facebook post. “We don't know them but we love them. This may be the single greatest act of kindness my mom and our family have experienced.”
