Montgomery County Voters Head To The Polls
Some of the ballot issues include a school bond in Tomball ISD, trustee elections in Splendora and MUD elections for road improvements

CONROE, TX — Montgmery County voters headed to the polls on Tuesday to cast ballots in a number of important elections involving school boards, local government elections, emergency service districts and municipal utility districts.
Some of the elections included:
Proposition A - JP 4 Local Option to Legalize: "The legal sale of all alcoholic beverages including mixed
beverages."

MC ESD No. 1 Proposition A - Consolidation The consolidation of the Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 1 and the Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 12 to create the Montgomery County ESD 1, which assumes all outstanding debts of the existing districts.
EMC MUD No. 7 Proposition A: The issuance of an additional $110,000,000 in bonds for a total of $191.2 million in bonds and the levy of ad valorem taxes in payment of the bonds (water, sanitary sewer, drainage and storm sewer, organization and administration)

EMC MUD No. 7 Proposition B: The issuance of an additional $98 million in bonds for a total of $163,110,503 in bonds and the levy of ad valorem taxes in payment of the bonds (macadamized, graveled, or paved roads or improvements)
EMC MUD No. 7 Proposition C :The issuance of $37.9 million in bonds to provide for park and recreational facilities and the levy of ad valorem taxes in payment of the bonds
MC ESD No. 12 Proposition A - Consolidation The consolidation of the Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 1 and the Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 12 to create the Montgomery County ESD 1, which assumes all outstanding debts of the existing districts.

Panorama Village:
The Adoption of a local sales and use tax in the City of Panorama Village, Texas at the rate of two percent.
Tomball ISD:"The issuance of $275 million school building bonds for the construction, acquisition, and equipment of school buildings in the district (including the rehabilitation, renovation, and improvement thereof), the purchase of the necessary sites for school buildings and the purchase of new school buses, and the levying of the tax in payment thereof."
STATE OF TEXAS PROPOSITIONS
PROPOSITION 1
"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of part of the market value of the residence homestead of a partially disabled veteran or the surviving spouse of a partially disabled veteran if the residence homestead was donated to the disabled veteran by a charitable organization for less than the market value of the residence homestead and harmonizing certain related provisions of the Texas Constitution."
PROPOSITION 2
"The constitutional amendment to establish a lower amount for expenses that can be charged to a borrower and removing certain financing expense limitations for a home equity loan, establishing certain authorized lenders to make a home equity loan, changing certain options for the refinancing of home equity loans, changing the threshold for an advance of a home equity line of credit, and allowing home equity loans on agricultural homesteads."
PROPOSITION 3
"The constitutional amendment limiting the service of certain officeholders appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate after the expiration of the person's term of office."
PROPOSITION 4
"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to require a court to provide notice to the attorney general of a challenge to the constitutionality of a state statute and authorizing the legislature to prescribe a waiting period before the court may enter a judgment holding the statute unconstitutional."
PROPOSITION 5
"The constitutional amendment on professional sports team charitable foundations conducting charitable raffles."
PROPOSITION 6
"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving spouse of a first responder who is killed or fatally injured in the line of duty."
PROPOSITION 7
"The constitutional amendment relating to legislative authority to permit credit unions and other financial institutions to award prizes by lot to promote savings."
