Bond Reduced For Sini Mathews

Her bond was reduced from $250,000 to $100,000 Monday. She was arrested Nov. 16 on a child endangerment charge.

DALLAS, TX — Sini Mathews might get out of jail after having her bond reduced Monday. She was arrested on Nov. 16 on a Child Endangerment charge after allegedly leaving her 3-year-old daughter Sherin home alone the night before she disappeared.

WFAA reported she requested her biological daughter's shot records last month, which led detectives to believe she may have planned to flee to India. Her defense argued that if she requested the records, it was so her daughter could be taken to India, but that Sini would not flee. If she makes bond, she will be under house arrest and must wear an ankle monitor, the station reported.

Sini's bond was reduced from $250,000 to $100,000 in court Monday morning, FOX 4 reported. She was arrested after detectives determined she and her husband, Wesley Mathews, left 3-year-old Sherin alone at the family's residence while the couple went to dinner with their 4-year-old biological daughter the night of Friday, Oct. 6., according to her arrest affidavit.

Sini's husband, Wesley Mathews, confirmed these details to detectives on Oct. 23, saying he and Sini left the girl in the house's kitchen for an hour and one-half after she refused to drink milk and he grew impatient.

Wesley is being held in Dallas County Jail on a $1 million bond on a felony charge of injury to a child. The couple's 4-year-old biological daughter has been removed from foster care and will live with relatives in Houston.
