Gas Leak Closes Streets In Dallas Arts District
An area of roadway near the Ross Avenue and Pearl Street intersection has been closed due to a gas leak.

DALLAS, TX — An area near the intersection of Ross Avenue and Pearl Street in Dallas' Arts District has been closed and evacuated after a gas main broke Monday.
Dallas Central Police announced the leak on Twitter Monday, warning of "numerous road closures and building evacuations." The extent of the closures is unclear as of writing.
Police said the gas line was ruptured when a construction crew hit a gas line near 1801 Pearl Street, near Flora Street. As a result, Ross Avenue is closed from Olive to Pearl Streets. Meanwhile, 1801 Pearl Street is being evacuated.

The exit ramp from Woodall Rodgers Freeway to Pearl Street is also closed.
Police said Atmos has been alerted and is on its way to repair the leak.
