'Nothing left to steal': East Dallas neighbors: thieves keep targeting same blocks & vehicles (nbcdfw.com) — East Dallas neighbors along Lower Greenville say nightly smash-and-grab car break-ins are surging, with some trucks hit multiple times despite being left unlocked and clearly marked as empty. Residents report frustration with slow or limited responses from Dallas police, even as DPD confirms vehicle burglaries in the area are up 33% and urges people to keep filing reports to help direct resources.
   

3. Day Trips: Longhorn Ballroom, Dallas • The Austin Chronicle (austinchronicle.com) — Dallas' historic Longhorn Ballroom, just southeast of downtown on Corinth Street, is thriving again with restored stages, exhibits, and a new outdoor amphitheater. The song became the unofficial anthem of the Stars' 2025–26 season, blasting in the locker room and on team flights, and could return as the soundtrack for the upcoming campaign.
