Lyft Releases 2018 Economic Impact Report For Dallas-Fort Worth

Lyft helped Dallas-Fort Worth residents save millions of hours worth of travel time in 2018.

Lyft riders spent more than $70 million in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2018, according to an economic report the company released Thursday. Lyft riders also saved 3.3 million hours using the service compared to other modes of transportation, the company added.

Some of the brands and organizations Lyft partnered with last year included the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), AAA, Anheuser-Busch, and Spec’s.

“Every day, people are using Lyft in Dallas-Fort Worth as a way to connect with their community, support local businesses, and commute more efficiently. This is having a dramatic and real impact on our city by enabling riders to move around seamlessly and drivers to earn on their own time,” Yohan Bobcombe, market manager for Lyft Dallas-Fort Worth, said in the release. “As Lyft works to better knit together North American cities, including through bikes and scooters, we hope to continue to find new ways to invest in the local Dallas-Fort Worth economy.”
