Man Arrested In Fort Worth Murder Of Drag Performer

FORT WORTH, TX — A 26-year-old man was arrested for the Friday murder of Jason Bradley, a popular drag performer known also as Bianca Gisele Davenport Starr.

Fayaka Dunbar was arrested Wednesday and charged with capital murder. He is held in Mansfield Jail on a $100,000.00 bail.

A police spokesperson told NBC5 the incident was a "possible robbery gone bad."

Bradley's roommate, who was injured in the shooting, was first identified in an earlier Patch article as drag performer London Starr. Patch has confirmed London's name is Eric Watson. 36-year-old Watson was critically wounded by a gunshot and transported to a nearby hospital.

NBC5 reported Dunbar faces charges of aggravated assault in connection to Watson’s shooting.

Bianca Giselle Davenport Starr was Miss Dallas Pride 2017 and Miss Texas State At Large 2017. Blaise Gordon, a former winner of Miss Texas State At Large, told Patch the drag 'sisterhood' was changed because of Bianca.

"Bianca was an amazing person," Gordon said. "I met Bianca when she decided to run for Miss Gay Texas State at Large, and we became close so fast. I ended up crowning her the year I stepped down; that will be a memory I will cherish forever. She had a personality that would light up any room. Our sisterhood definitely suffered a great loss but gained an extraordinary angel."

Gordon performs under the name Gemini Alexander Brooks.
