Unfortunately, it might just mean heavier traffic. But you can avoid sitting in traffic by following one simple guideline laid out by AAA: Don't leave in the late afternoon of Thursday, May 24 or Friday, May 25.
Commuters all over Dallas will be hitting the streets at this time not only to head home from a day of work but also to depart for a hard-earned trip.

There is some good news. Dallas did not land on AAA's "Most Congested Cities" list this year. But these cities did: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
And as with any bit of good news, there is also bad news. The study estimates the average gallon of gas costs $2.87, up some 33 cents from last year.
While you're traveling, use the GasBuddy application or website to find the cheapest gas in your area.
