Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Dallas Parking Lot
The pilot of the Piper PA-28 was uninjured, but the plane was damaged.
DALLAS, TX — A pilot traveling alone from Mississippi to Weatherford, Texas, touched down in a parking lot in far north Dallas late Monday night.
The pilot was forced to land after he reported he was losing fuel, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. He was only two miles from the Addison Municipal Airport when he landed.
The Piper PA-28 aircraft struck a light pole and was damaged. The FAA said the pilot escaped the plane and put out a small fire that broke out during the landing.
