Texas Ranked As One Of The Best States To Drive In
The best state to drive in, according to a new report, is Oregon.

The personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2019's best and worst states to drive in and Texas ranked fifth. At the top of the list was Oregon followed by Illinois. The worst state was Hawaii at 50 and Alaska at 49. Traffic congestion in the U.S. costs the average driver more than $1,400 per year, WalletHub added.
To determine the most driver-friendly states, the organization compared the 50 states across 30 metrics, including average gas prices, share of rush-hour traffic congestion, and road quality. The data was gathered from the U.S. Census Bureau, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Federal Highway Administration, and QuinStreet Insurance Agency, among other sources.
