Dallas, Texas - The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, a nationally recognized 501c3 nonprofit, revealed late Monday that it has secured a significant donation that ensures the organization's operational costs for the entire 2023/2024 school year, Dallas Metro News reported.

Established in response to the Uvalde, Texas school shooting in May 2022, the foundation has dedicated its efforts on both national and local levels to curb school violence. This includes most recently following the Covenant School shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. The foundation has also recently announced a planned local and national relaunch and fundraising campaign set for September 2nd, 2023, after a brief pause in its national operations to facilitate refinancing and restructuring.

The latest donor, whose identity the foundation has respected by keeping confidential, has contributed to the foundation's local and national mission to end student gun violence. This generous donation is unique in the foundation's history, being referred to as the first ever "Blank Check" that covers the foundation's operating expenses for the upcoming school year.

Foundation Founder, Daniel Chapin, reacted to the donation Monday afternoon stating, "The Foundation cannot express our gratitude enough for this individual. This allows all our funding to go where it needs to go - protecting our nations students."

In a previous report, The Uvalde Foundation For Kids said it was forced to cease operations due to funding.
