Craft Beers And Specialty Coffee Maker To Expand In Cedar Park
City financial inducements have prompted Red Horn Brewery and Roastery LLC to expand locally.
CEDAR PARK, TX — City council members on Thursday approved an economic development incentives agreement to lure a craft beers and specialty coffee maker to the city.
The performance-based incentives package between the Cedar Park Economic Development Corp. and Red Horn Brewery and Roastery LLC was approved during the council's regular meeting.
“Open here, grow here is a key strategic goal of the Cedar Park City Council," Cedar Park Mayor Corbin Van Arsdale said in a prepared statement. "This means not only using our economic development resources to recruit new businesses but also to support our existing local businesses. Red Horn is a perfect example of a home-grown Cedar Park business and we look forward to seeing them succeed in their expansion.”

Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing Co. opened in 2015 at a small retail center at 13010 West Parmer Lane, Suite 800, just southeast of the intersection of West Parmer Lane and Whitestone Boulevard, city officials said. The new second location will be in addition to its original location where they have just renewed their lease, officials added.
Under the performance-based incentive agreement, Red Horn will expand its operations in 8,000 square feet of space at the Scottsdale Technology Center, 1615 Scottsdale Dr. The company will be able to increase their production and distribution of craft beers and specialty coffee at the site, officials said.

Officials noted the new facility’s retail component serving coffee, beer and food is a complement to nearby H-E-B Center at Cedar Park and major Cedar Park employers such as Voltabox and Revenue Cycle along with future employers James Avery Artisan Jewelry’s second headquarters and the Crossover. Red Horn plans to employ 15 additional full time employees by Sept. 30, officials said.
The agreement is funded by Economic Development (Type A) funds from 3/8 cent of local sales tax.
