Disabilty Rights of Texas: Pure Exploitation

Austin, Texas – In the Fall of 2019 Disability Rights of Texas used an open records request to obtain the names and addresses of hundreds, if not thousands of individuals with Disabilities who possess HUD Housing Vouchers. Director Mary Faithfully, Legal Director Richard LaVallo, Supervising Attorney Rachel Cohen-Miller, Attorney Chris McGreal, and Paralegal Marisol McNair hatched a plan to obtain some bureaucratic busy work on the TAX-PAYERS DIME. Keep in mind that the pay scale of any of the aforementioned individuals ranges $86,000 - $196,000 even without the expectation of taking on legitimate case.

Disability Rights of Texas runs a “STOREFRONT” operation. (“STOREFRONT” is a term once used by the Mob describing an artificial exterior with ulterior motives behind the scenes.) The nonprofit DRTx leans heavily on the idea that they are based in Dallas, Texas which would give unsuspecting victims the idea that the operation would be effective as opposed to an organization located here in Austin, Texas. The reality is, Disability Rights of Texas is largely based here in Austin, Texas diminishing an unsuspecting victim ability to accomplish any meaningful outcome as career people in Austin typically do not take on Austin.

Resulting from DRTx disregard for Austin's community, they are being investigated. DRTx is not concerned with whose life they prey upon or the consequences DRTx's conduct will have a Disabled individual’s life.

Think about it. Throughout the years, and even in more recent times, many disturbing things have happened here in Austin to the Disabled under Disability Rights of Texas’s watch and they have publicly and privately done virtually nothing. They are aware of how trashy Integral Care is and simply don’t care. Plausible Deniability is not a loop whole for Director Mary Faithfully, Legal Director Richard LaVallo, Supervising Attorney Rachel Cohen-Miller, Attorney Chris McGreal, and Paralegal Marisol McNair as they have demonstrated time and time again that they are incapable of anything beyond the “Butterfly Stories” type cases that they manufacture and attempt to win. Would your life be AWESOME if YOU were able to choose your work load and challenges of the day? They are handsomely paid for with your TAX-DOLLARS and refuse to take on the legitimate Social Disability issues you see before you each day. These Social Disability issues occur simply because Disability Rights of Texas does not care. For DRTx it’s about manufacturing the perfect winning case resembling drunken aristocratic lawyers. These “STOREFRONT” dime store attorneys can’t function in the real legal arena as to why they count on YOU to be oblivious to their six figure income and the completely fabricated method of their cases. DRTx let's the bad stuff just happen.

Negotiations and mediation have been on going with Disability Rights of Texas with DRTx showing no signs of having any kind of backbone or ability to take on local issues and produce meaningful impact for our community. Time and time again the negotiations have failed. The Austin's community deserves to know WHO and WHAT have left them hanging.
