Man Shot In East Austin In Third Local Shooting In Two Days
Latest shooting incident along 8400 block of Garcreek Circle at around 2 p.m., leaves man with potentially life-threatening injuries.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A man was hospitalized after being shot in East Austin Saturday afternoon in the third shooting in just two days in the city.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS medics a man in his 30s was transported to Dell Seton Medical Cneter for treatment as a result of the incident that occurred at around 2 p.m. in the 8400 block of Garcreek Circle, police said.
Medics categorized the man's injuries as serious and potentially life-threatening. Police released no further details.

The shooting was the third in Austin in just two days. On Friday, a man in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound east of the Capitol building at Red River and East 12th streets just after 8 p.m. He sustained serious yet not life-threatening injuries, medics said. About an hour-and-a-half later on the same day, medics were dispatched to South Austin amid reports of a man in his 20s having been shot. The victim in that case also suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
