Harmony Rocketry Teams Secure Place Among Nation's Top Teams in Record-Breaking Competition

EL Paso, Texas — The Harmony Science Academy-El Paso Rocketry Teams continue to solidify their place among the nation’s top student rocketry programs, earning national recognition through consistent success and hands-on STEM excellence since 2019.

HSA-El Paso students have repeatedly qualified for the American Rocketry Challenge National Finals, often advancing multiple teams to compete at the highest level. In 2026, the competition reached a record 1,107 participating teams nationwide, with only the top 100 earning an invitation to the National Finals on May 16. Teams will compete for $100,000 in awards and the title of National Champion, with the winning team advancing to represent the United States at the international stage during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
In recent years, HSA has distinguished itself as one of the few programs in the country and the first within Harmony Public Schools to rank among the top 24 teams nationwide, often referred to as the “Super League.” This achievement has also opened opportunities for students to participate in the NASA Student Launch Initiative.

The team’s recent national results include:

2023: 5th place in the United States
2024: 8th place nationally
2025: Two teams ranked in the Top 24

Beyond competition, the Rocket Teams provide students with real-world STEM experiences, including designing and testing rockets using industry tools. Students develop skills in physics, engineering, teamwork, and leadership while mentoring future team members.

The Harmony Science Academy Rocket Teams continues to serve as a launchpad for future engineers, scientists, and innovators, inspiring students to reach new heights in both academics and life.
