Owner April Mendoza says she's exploring new ways to keep serving El Paso pet lovers through her Double Dog Dare Bakery, pop-ups, collaborations, and rescue support.
   

4. El Paso outlines priorities for possible community agreement with Meta (ktsm.com) — El Paso officials are shaping a potential community agreement with Meta tied to the massive Northeast data center, focusing on local hiring, training, and neighborhood investments. Possible projects include weatherization, energy upgrades, water conservation, and grants, plus eight district-based community meetings this fall. Nothing is final yet, but the city is eyeing Meta's new national fund for local support.
   

5. El Paso weighs shifting $2.5M from first-time buyer aid to affordable housing (cbs4local.com) — El Paso officials are considering moving $2.5 million from an underused first-time homebuyer program into building and rehabilitating affordable multi-family housing, responding to rising home prices that outpaced program limits. Residents will have a chance to comment before the city submits its plan to federal housing officials, with new funding opportunities expected by year's end.
