Adjustments affect popular routes like El Segundo, EPCC Connector, Montana, and Pebble Hills, with some services shifting to Project Amistad and several transit center bay reassignments across the city.
   

2. City of El Paso gets extension to appeal ruling that water bill fee is illegal tax (kfoxtv.com) — El Paso residents paying a $6 monthly charge on their water bills should know the city just received more time, until October 3, to appeal a ruling that labeled the fee an illegal tax. The long-running lawsuit argues the so-called environmental franchise fee was diverted from street maintenance to other city uses, and the outcome could affect how much locals ultimately pay.
   

3. El Paso libraries unveil limited-edition library card (kvia.com) — El Paso Public Libraries are rolling out a limited-edition library card featuring artwork by local illustrator Zeke Peña, just in time for Library Card Sign-Up Month. With one small card, residents can tap into free books, digital resources, technology, and educational programs, all while carrying a design that celebrates the borderland community and local creativity.
   

4. City of El Paso opens Adopt-A-Street program to public (cbs4local.com) — El Paso residents, businesses, and community groups can now adopt a one-mile street segment through the city's newly opened Adopt-A-Street program, committing to four cleanups a year at no cost. The city supplies safety gear, trash bags, and recognition signs, making it easier for neighbors to tackle litter, improve key corridors, and shape visitors' first impressions of El Paso.
   

5. Fleeing suspected thief captured at South-Central El Paso high school (ktsm.com) — A suspected thief fleeing El Paso police briefly entered Jefferson High School grounds before being detained, but district officials say students and staff were never in danger. The individual was seen confronting students in a video before officers handcuffed him, and EPISD reports campus operations continued safely while administrators coordinated closely with law enforcement.
