Young Harmony Siblings Publish Their First Book

Two young Harmony School of Innovation Elementary students are turning their creativity into an inspiring accomplishment after publishing their very first comic riddle book together.
Nathan, 11, and his sister, Islana, 6, combined their talents to bring the project to life. Nathan wrote the riddles while Islana contributed colorful illustrations and artwork throughout the book.
Nathan’s love for riddles began in second grade when his teacher, Mrs. Luciano Vu, shared daily riddles with the class. Inspired by the activity, he started creating his own riddles and sharing them with classmates. When the idea of publishing a book came up, Islana quickly joined the project as illustrator.
The siblings officially began working on the book in December 2025 and published it on April 20, 2026.
Along the way, they learned valuable lessons about patience and perseverance while overcoming challenges with digital formatting and printing. After several draft versions, the young authors successfully completed their final published copy.
Their family shared that Harmony teachers encouraged their creativity by allowing them to share pages from the book with classmates after the students learned about the project.
Nathan is already working on writing a second book, while Islana continues creating new artwork and illustrations to inspire other children to believe in their talents.
Their achievement highlights the creativity, innovation, and student talent found throughout Harmony Public Schools.
