Fort Worth Municipal Court Hosts Community Warrant Forgiveness Event
It will take place from 9 a.m.- noon on Saturday, May 30.
The Fort Worth Municipal Court is hosting a Court in the Community Warrant Forgiveness event later this month.
The City of Fort Worth published a blog post with the event details on Wednesday.
According to the post, the event will take place from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 20, at the Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 4800 S. Riverside Dr.

The event is for anyone who has outstanding citations with the Fort Worth Municipal Court. Those individuals can resolve their outstanding cases and may be eligible for alternatives such as community service or even a reduction in their fine based on ability to pay.
At the event, as many as 120 people can be seen on a first-come, first-served basis with a Class C criminal case filed with the court. That includes traffic violations, ordinance violations, and penal code violations. For more information, call 817-392-6700.

Court Director William Rumuly said, "I encourage anyone who has an outstanding citation with the Fort Worth Municipal Court to contact us immediately so we can provide options to move those cases to a final resolution."
Rumuly continued, "We are a Safe Harbor Court, meaning we do not arrest persons who come voluntarily to see us on their outstanding warrants."
There will be two other walk-up services available on-site during the event.
Goodwill North Central Texas will be on-hand to provide employment opportunities, job placement services, one-on-one career counseling, and job readiness skills training. All the services are free. For more information call 817-332-7866.
The City of Fort Worth EnVision Center will also be present to offer tuition assistance for short-term training and one-on-one support to help participants gain job skills, learn about finances, find employment, and achieve long-term financial stability.
