Frisco Athletic Training Company That Trains 300+ Pro Athletes Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy (whatnow.com) — A major Frisco-based athletic training company, Elite Performance Training at The Star, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy while planning to keep operating under court supervision. The facility, which serves more than 300 pro athletes and many local youth, reports liabilities far exceeding assets, and its reorganization will determine how services at the 55,000-square-foot complex continue.

Frisco's Royal Ball Returns To Support Families Facing Childhood Cancer (localprofile.com) — Frisco residents can dress up for a cause when Leia's Kids brings its Hope in the Kingdom Royal Ball back to Verona Villa on Friday, Oct. 16, supporting families facing childhood cancer. The black-tie evening features dinner, dancing, survivor stories, and appearances by Princess Marygold, with tickets and sponsorships available now to help fund financial and emotional support programs.
   

3. Inside One Of Frisco's Most Intimate Dining Experiences (localprofile.com) — Frisco food lovers can book an intimate, multi-course Chef's Table experience from Halff Culinaire, now hosted at Cibo Kitchens on Main Street. Chef Phillip Halff crafts whimsical, seasonal tasting menus, many ingredients grown in his backyard garden, turning each 12–15 course dinner into a two- to three-hour culinary show that's become a coveted word-of-mouth reservation in town.
   

4. Cowboys' Smith will miss at least a month with thumb injury that needs surgery (eldoradonews.com) — From their Frisco headquarters, the Cowboys confirmed left guard Tyler Smith will miss at least the first month of the season after thumb surgery and start the year on injured reserve. T.J. Bass will step in on the offensive line while coaches hope Smith's reputation as a quick healer helps him return around mid-October.
