Enjoy Riches Without Pain - How?

HOUSTON—Friday, August 21, 2020—As the 2020 convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses continues this weekend with a fifth online installment, millions around the globe will enjoy the free public discourse “Enjoy Riches Without Pain—How?” from the safety of their own homes. The Bible-based talk will offer practical advice for finding true joy despite life’s challenges and provide solid reasons to look to the future with confidence. Locally, more than 300 congregations in Houston will be watching the “Always Rejoice”! program alongside an expected worldwide audience in excess of 15 million.

Public discourses have long been an integral part of the Witnesses’ conventions. Regarding this year’s theme, José Castro of Houston says, "In these uncertain times we live in, the public discourses and their practical advice are comforting to hear. I can't wait to learn how we can find joy and enjoy riches without pain, even in difficult times where it seems nothing is guaranteed." Vidal Gonzalez of Richmond adds, "I am looking forward to hearing this talk. Hopefully, it will help me examine my actions, and I am sure it will continue to motivate me to do more.”

“The public discourse will offer a practical message of hope that’s especially needed in these challenging times,” says James Gianopoulos, a local spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “We invite everyone in the community to enjoy this noteworthy part of the online convention program from the comfort and safety of their own homes.”

Those interested in viewing the convention can access the program on jw.org, available under the “About Us - Conventions” tab. There is no charge or registration required. With the online program available in more than 500 languages, this may be the most-attended convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses to date.
