Harmony Public Schools Breaks Ground on New Missouri City Campus

Construction is underway on Harmony Public Schools’ first campus in Missouri City, marking a significant expansion for the Texas-based charter school system and its growing presence in the Greater Houston area.

The new elementary campus, situated on a 28-acre site, is part of a long-term development plan that will eventually include an adjacent middle and high school. Scheduled to open for the 2027–2028 academic year, the school will serve up to 650 students in grades Prekindergarten through fifth.

The campus will feature a state-of-the-art maker space, science lab, and playground, aligning with Harmony’s emphasis on STEM-focused, hands-on learning environments.

“Opening our first Harmony Public School in Missouri City marks more than a new campus—it represents our commitment to expanding opportunity, inspiring curiosity, and building strong STEM pathways for every student we serve,” said Ramazan Coskuner, superintendent of Harmony Public Schools’ South-West district.

A groundbreaking ceremony is set for Tuesday, April 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at 12010 Highway 6 in Fresno, just outside Missouri City.

Harmony Public Schools, a Texas Education Agency–recognized A-rated district, is currently accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year.

Founded in Texas, Harmony operates more than 60 public charter campuses serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade in 23 cities statewide, including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso. The system’s curriculum emphasizes STEM education, character development, project-based learning, and college readiness.

Harmony officials say the Missouri City campus reflects the organization’s broader mission to provide high-quality, accessible education options for families across Texas.
