Harmony School of Innovation Katy Wins NCUST 2026 Best Schools Award
HSI Katy among 13 schools nationwide selected for academic excellence and student success

KATY — Harmony School of Innovation-Katy has earned national recognition after being named a winner of the 2026 America’s Best Schools Award by the National Center for Urban School Transformation.
The campus was among only 25 schools nationwide named to the organization’s honor roll. From that group, 17 schools advanced to finalist status, and ultimately, 13 campuses were selected as winners.
The award recognizes schools that demonstrate exceptional student outcomes in academic achievement, student engagement and postsecondary readiness. Schools selected for consideration must meet rigorous benchmarks, including high academic proficiency rates, strong performance among students with disabilities and English learners, low suspension rates and high attendance.

Additional standards are applied to high schools, dual-language programs and alternative campuses, with an emphasis on graduation rates and college credit attainment.
The National Center for Urban School Transformation, based at San Diego State University, partners with school districts and education leaders across the country to support school improvement efforts and help ensure students graduate prepared for college, careers and civic life.

As part of the recognition, Harmony School of Innovation-Katy and the other award recipients have been invited to attend the 2027 America’s Best Schools Symposium, scheduled for March 9-10, 2027, in San Diego.
