Mysterious Tweet Sent From Mayor's Office
Mayor Sylvester Turner's office sent an odd tweet Monday, prompting some funny theories.

HOUSTON, TX — Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner's office sent a peculiar, numbers-filled, tweet Monday afternoon, prompting some funny theories. The tweet was sent at 2:55 p.m. under Turner's official account and only featured "375529." Within five minutes, it was deleted, but not before collecting a handful of funny responses.
"Is that the password for WiFi at city hall?" Gil Gredinger (@photog72) tweeted.
"The new made up costs for firefighters raises," Scott (@scotts021) added, referencing the ongoing pay parity issue facing firefighters in the city.

According to Mary Benton of the mayor's office, the numbers featured in the tweet are neither of those things. The numbers also don't represent Turner's salary, which is $236,189, according to the Texas Tribune.
"We’re glad we could provide a few moments of intrigue and laughter this afternoon for those who follow Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Twitter account. I promise those numbers do not represent any hidden message or secret code," Benton told Patch. "The office is extremely busy and an employee meant to text those numbers to a colleague, but inadvertently sent them through Twitter."
