Top hospitals in Texas for 2026 ranked by U.S. News and World Report (star-telegram.com) — If you or your family need top-tier care in Houston, U.S. News just ranked Houston Methodist Hospital among the 20 best hospitals in the nation and the top regional hospital in Texas. Several other Houston facilities, including MD Anderson for cancer treatment, also earned leading spots, underscoring the city's strength in specialized and comprehensive medical care.
   

2. Tokyo X Returns to Houston this September (thetexastasty.com) — Houston residents can dive into Tokyo X 2026 at Reliant Center on September 26–27, with anime, gaming, samurai artifacts, car culture, food, and live entertainment filling more than 300,000 square feet. Organizers expect over 25,000 attendees, 600-plus vendors, and special guests like Masako Nozawa and Karen Fukuhara for one of Texas' largest Japanese culture festivals.
   

3. Zach Neto's 7 RBIs spark Angels to 18-3 pounding of Houston (statenews.net) — Houston Astros fans just watched the Angels explode for an 18-3 win at Minute Maid Park, with Zach Neto driving in seven runs on five hits. The loss hands Houston another home series defeat to a sub-.500 opponent and shrinks their AL West lead over the Rangers to a single game.
   

4.
