Young Minds Shine at the Science Olympiad Competition

Students demonstrate curiosity and teamwork as they tackle challenging science events

Twenty-four students from Harmony School of Discovery Middle School and High School divisions recently traveled to the RGV Regional Science Olympiad, delivering an impressive performance and representing the school with dedication and pride.

The high school team placed third overall, earning 13 medals across six events, including several first and second place finishes. Their success reflects not only strong technical skills but also teamwork, perseverance, and the ability to perform under pressure.

The middle school team also achieved an outstanding result, placing fourth overall and earning 21 medals across ten events, with multiple first and second place finishes. Their performance highlights the depth of talent among younger students and reflects a strong foundation of curiosity, collaboration, and problem solving.

“I am incredibly proud of our students and the dedication they showed throughout the competition,” said Ms. Rabata, head Science Olympiad coach. “Their hard work, teamwork, and passion for science truly paid off.”

These accomplishments highlight the strength of Harmony School of Discovery’s STEM programs and the commitment of students who continue to challenge themselves through academic competition.
