Need A Job? FEMA Needs Texans To Help With Harvey Recovery
Jobs will be temporary jobs and will pay between $14 to $34 per hour, officials said.

HOUSTON, TX — The Federal Emergency Management Agency is looking to fill its ranks with Texans who are willing to help with the recovery efforts from Hurricane Harvey.
The new hires would be temporary employees who are near the devastated areas in Greater Houston.
The jobs will pay between $14 to $34 per hour, and look to fill positions in:

- administrative support assistant
- civil engineer
- communications specialist
- construction cost estimator
- courier
- crisis counselor
- customer service specialist
- environmental specialist
- floodplain management specialist
- graphics specialist
- hazard mitigation outreach specialist
- historic preservation specialist
- registered nurse
- voluntary agency liaison
Officials said those who hold these positions and work closely with those affected in a natural disaster help the agency gain valuable community insight that allows FEMA to better meet those needs.
To apply, those who are interested must first register with the Texas Workforce Commission.
